OUR MISSION
The WWII Veterans History Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to give the past a future, one story at a time. We’re dedicated to educating and inspiring future generations to better appreciate the sacrifices made by the greatest generation through documentary films, traveling museum exhibitions, and educational programs. Founded by journalist, author, and photographer Benjamin Mack-Jackson in 2015, our organization has impacted veterans and students alike, preserving countless war stories and teaching students why such events should never be repeated.
AN URGENT QUEST
Of the 16 million Americans who served in uniform during World War II, fewer than 100,000 are still with us today—and that number is shrinking fast, with nearly 150 veterans passing away every day. The urgency to preserve their stories has never been greater.
Over the past ten years, our team has recorded the firsthand accounts of more than 300 World War II veterans from around the globe. We are committed to ensuring that their voices are preserved for future generations.
Do you know a WWII veteran who would like to share their story? Contact us today.
