TRAVELING MUSEUM

The WWII Veterans History Project maintains a collection of thousands of original wartime artifacts for preservation and display. The archives are quite diverse, with items ranging from small dog tags to an 18,000 pound Higgins Boat landing craft. Our museum exhibits have traveled across the United States and the world, making dozens of public and private appearances, including at schools, civic organizations, communities, and corporate events.

BRINGING HISTORY TO LIFE

The Traveling Museum of WWII is not just a museum, it’s an experience. Our exhibits allow people to come in contact with actual pieces of history from nearly 80 years ago and learn the stories behind each item. Everything on display has been donated by WWII veterans or their families – they’re not just pieces in a museum, but stories of these heroes’ lives.

EXPLORE THE COLLECTION

Stories of bravery and heroism are told through original wartime artifacts such as uniforms, medals, helmets, and photographs. We’ve created a virtual museum that highlights the stories of the men and women behind each item, allowing you to explore their history. The veterans featured in our exhibits witnessed history firsthand 80 years ago, from the hills of Normandy to the black sands of Iwo Jima.

These are their stories.

DONATE ARTIFACTS
