As a young princess, Elizabeth served her country as a mechanic in the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS), becoming the first female member of the royal family to serve as a full-time member of the armed forces. Her presence helped boost the morale of the British military and civilian populations alike.

Today, we salute and honor her service. May she Rest in Peace.
